At the moment I’m working on some new pieces in the studio using layers of paper, scrim and encaustic wax, alongside small nails which I’m rusting to add colour and a sense of time. These pieces are the beginning of a new collection of work which will be exhibited at The Tinker Gallery in Ilkley in a group show called Black, White & Grey. The show runs from 23rd July to 29th August and includes some artists that I’ve admired for a long time so I’m very excited to have been invited.

This will be my third group show at The Tinker Gallery, a beautiful small independent gallery in Ilkley, owned and run by the artist Joanne Tinker. Jo has been incredibly supportive of my new work which has been wonderful. Keep an eye out here and on my instagram @vickyneilstudio to see how the work progresses…
